Maria Ines De Lafuente Lacroze Net Worth
The cement company, Loma Negra, became the leader in production of cement and concrete in Argentina during the 1950s and ’60s. After the death of Alfredo in 1976, Maria’s mother succeeded the cement business and that’s how she earned her nickname “cement lady.” Unfortunately, due to family mismanagement and large foreign debt, Loma Negra had been sold to Brazilian group Camargo Correa for just over US$1 billion in May 2005. Nevertheless, the inheritance that Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat left after her death in February 2012, was estimated at U.S. $902 million, a number that does not include her art collection valued at more than $200 million. Maria Ines de Lafuente Lacroze died on September 11, 2015 .
