Chi-Ali’s first solo single “Age Ain’t Nothing But a #” reached #6 on the US Hot Rap Singles chart. He was featured twice on the TV series America’s Most Wanted for shooting and killing Sean Raymond in New York City. In 2001 he was apprehended and convicted of the crime and sentenced to serve 14 years. He ended up serving 12 years at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Chi-Ali is featured in a 2019 documentary about his life.
